Church Buildings Open for Public Worship and Private Prayer

Risk Assessment in relation to Holy Trinity being open. (Updated March 2021)

Worship (Updated 10 March 2021)

From Sunday 14 March, our church buildings will be open for public worship. Do please only come if you are comfortable to do so. If you have been advised by the Government to take particular care because you are extremely clinically vulnerable, we would also advise you to stay at home.  If you are attending, please arrive in good time to allow a safe flow of people. You will find the same space and regulations as before: social distancing, hand-hygiene and face masks with no mixing between households. One service each week will be recorded for our YouTube channel, while our websites continue to have resources for prayer during lockdown.

Each church has a limit on the number of people that can fit in:
Holy Trinity has an upper limit of 75 people;
Christ Church 50 people;
St John's 30 people.

In church and at home, let us be held in the arms of Mother Church.

Private Prayer

Our churches continue to be open for private prayer and we hope you will be able to avail yourselves of this opportunity.  If you come, you will find a range of precautions to enable good hygiene and social distancing, please wear a face covering (unless exempt) and there will be two church members on duty (do let us know if you can help for an hour or two in this regard).  It will be possible to light a votive candle and these will be supplied.  There are suggested prayers/readings on the website, but do bring your own copy of these or your own Bible or other resource with you.

Our opening times (updated June 2021) are:
Monday 3.00-6.00pm Holy Trinity
Tuesday
Wednesday 5.00-6.00pm Christ Church
Thursday 11.00am-2.00pm Holy Trinity
Friday
Saturday 9.00-10.00am Christ Church
