Title Curate

We are pleased to announce that in June we will welcome a Title Curate, Simon Asquith, to train with us full-time over three years. Mark will be Simon's Training Incumbent, but Merton Priory Team is able to offer a much wider experience and so all parties will benefit! There is a small biography of Simon below, with some photos!

Simon will be ordained on Saturday 26 June and his first Sunday with us will be 27 June. Please keep Simon in your prayers as he prepares for ordination.

Simon's Biography

Before embarking upon Theology for ordained ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge, Simon studied Music and French Literature at the universities of Bristol and Bordeaux. He then enjoyed a career in opera production and casting in Paris and then Venice, focussing on 17th and 18th-century music. He remains passionate about everything Baroque and hopes to use music in his ministry in the Church. He has also worked in youth ministry and one of his favourite pastimes is looking after his godchildren; visiting museums, playing and teaching them French.
